Palace: ‘Palaka’ to leapfrog over opposition
MANILA, Philippines—A frog, by any other name, is still a frog.
While opposition Sen. Manuel Roxas II has suggested that the merged Lakas-Kampi-CMD party be called “Partidong Lakas at Kampi” or Palaka (frog) for short, Malacañang believes its new party will “leapfrog over the opposition” en route to victory in the 2010 elections.
